Turn off the power to the light fixture at the circuit breaker to ensure safety.
Remove the old bulb from the fixture by twisting it counterclockwise (for E27 bases) or pushing in and twisting counterclockwise (for B22 bases).
Insert the new emergency LED bulb into the fixture and twist it clockwise until it is securely tightened.
Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.
Use the existing light switch to turn the bulb on and off as you would any normal bulb. The internal batteries will automatically charge whenever the bulb is turned on.
