1. Pre-Installation Preparation
Safety First: Turn off the main power supply at the circuit breaker before starting any work to avoid electric shock.
Check Ceiling Compatibility: Ensure your ceiling has a standard cutout size matching the downlight, and sufficient space behind the ceiling to accommodate the fixture and junction box.
Gather Tools: Prepare a screwdriver, wire strippers, and a voltage tester for safety checks.
2. Wiring & Junction Box Setup
Connect the incoming AC power wires (live, neutral, ground) to the corresponding terminals in the pre-wired junction box, following local electrical codes.
Secure the junction box in the ceiling cavity, ensuring it is properly grounded and protected.
3. Fixture Installation
Compress the red spring-loaded mounting clips on the downlight and insert the fixture into the ceiling cutout.
