IP65 Outdoor Golf Course Lighting Fixture

IP65 is an international standard used to measure the dust-proof and water-resistant capabilities of a lamp's housing.
"6": Indicates complete dustproofing. Dust cannot enter the interior of the lamp, providing the highest level of dust protection.
"5": Represents anti-spill water. Spraying water in any direction onto the lamp housing will not cause any harmful effects.
For a golf course, IP65 means:
Can resist natural weather conditions such as rain, snow, hail, etc.
Can prevent the intrusion of water sprayed by the irrigation system.
It can effectively prevent the accumulation of sand, grass debris and dust, ensuring the long-term stable operation of the internal electronic components.

Unlike football and baseball fields, golf courses must limit "light pollution" to avoid glare and disturbance to players and the environment due to their size and complexity.
The most important part is precise light distribution and control.
Objective: The light must be limited to the tee, fairway, and green, not the woods, water, or sky.
Implementation method: Form oval or rectangular light spots with asymmetric light distribution (Type III, Type IV) or custom lenses/reflectors to cover the golf hole and achieve "seeing the light but not the lamp".
Excellent anti-glare.
Objective: Lights should not distract players before hitting the ball. This is crucial on the putting green.
Method of implementation:
Tall installation: Poles 15 meters or taller hold the lamps.
A modest angle of downward illumination.
A special shade cover or optical design hides the light source from the player.
Highly uniform
Objective: The fairway or green should be evenly lit. Otherwise, it will impair players' distance and terrain judgment.
Impact on turf
Color spectrum and temperature: Choose a plant-friendly spectrum. Usually, neutral white light between 4000K and 5000K is used to enable clear eyesight without harming lawn development.
Heat management: To avoid damaging the turf or adjacent plants, the lamps must have good heat dissipation (typically a large fin radiator).
