Products Description:

Adding Light Sources
A modest chicken coop of around 100 square feet (10 feet by 10 feet) may be lit with a single 40-watt lamp positioned about 7 feet from the ground. Use a 60-watt light bulb for a coop that is up to 200 square feet in size. To provide artificial light for at least 14 hours per day, you can set a timer.
If you can, prolong the day on your timer in the morning rather than the evening since the chickens can become bewildered if the coop light suddenly goes off when it's completely dark outside and they won't be able to find their roosts.
Avoid flooding the chicken coop with light for 14 hours a day if it is already winter when artificial light is added. Up until you've achieved the ideal length of time to have the lights on, add 45 minutes more of light each week. Additionally, avoid leaving the lights on nonstop. Even the chickens need time to rejuvenate.
