LED Strip Illumination The ongoing advancements in LED strip lighting have led to a rise in the popularity of linear lighting applications. LED flex strips have emerged as the standard for incorporating indirect, accent illumination throughout your residence. These low-voltage, 12V strips are frequently utilised for under-cabinet illumination, backlighting, and shelf lighting. a significant limitation is that they are not available in extended lengths, with the maximum single run choice being just 16.4 feet (5m). Standard density strips may extend up to 32 feet, which is insufficient for applications such as crown and cove lighting, outdoor deck illumination, or any scenario necessitating an extended string of lights. Fortunately, there exists an AC-powered LED strip with a robust construction suitable for many applications, capable of extending up to 150 feet in length.

Alternating Current LED Strip Lighting
These LED strips operate on standard line electricity, namely 120VAC. The power cord is equipped with a compact mechanism that converts the electricity to DC for the LEDs. This renders them simpler than low-voltage strips, as a power source is not required for purchase alongside the strips. All components are included in one strip; a conveniently located outlet near your installation is all that is required. These 120V LED light strips exhibit exceptional efficiency, operating at about 2.3 Watts per foot. This is essentially equivalent to the normal density flex strip, which produces only half the lumens of this LED strip.
Illumination Emission
LED Strip Light The strip contains 5050 SMD LEDs, equivalent in size to normal and high-density 12V LED strips. This LED flex strip features a density of 20 LEDs per foot, making it our most compact option. Increased LED density enhances overall light quality, rendering this strip suitable for both job and accent lighting. The 120-degree dispersion from the LEDs facilitates this by effectively distributing the light, resulting in a uniform appearance rather than a patchy one. The LEDs are configured in parallel throughout the strip, so that if one LED fails, the entire string remains operational. The 5050 LEDs effectively provide around 180 Lumens per foot for Cool White and 145 Lumens per foot for Warm White. This constitutes our most luminous strip light, suitable for both accent and task lighting requiring a linear fixture. The strip is available in Cool White (5000K), Warm White (2700K), as well as Red, Blue, and Green colours. RGB Plug and Play Strips are now accessible as well. Colours of AC LED strip lights The strong output makes these LED strip lights advantageous since they are dimmable. It is likely that you will not want full illumination at all times, hence you may reduce the brightness of these strips using most conventional incandescent dimmers. Indeed, these strips do not require a specialised dimmer; a standard household dimmer may be utilised to adjust the brightness on the AC side of the supply. It is essential to connect the dimmer to the outlet into which the strip is inserted; this is the sole need for dimming the LED strips. The sole consideration is to ensure that no minimum load requirements exist for the dimmer; if they do, verify that the wattage is sufficient for the dimmer to operate properly.
Robust, Industrial-Grade Construction
The AC 5050 LED Strip is classified as a flexible strip, although it is far more robust than ordinary flexible LED strips with adhesive backing. The LEDs are encased in a flexible rubber shell measuring 9/16 inch in width and 1/4 inch in height. The housing is protected with a PVC lens that also obstructs UV radiation. The robust construction and PVC coating render these LED lights water-resistant, making them ideal for outdoor applications. Concluding the post, there will be practical applications demonstrating the use of the strips in various outdoor environments to enhance linear landscape illumination.

Connect LED Illumination
Power wires for LED strips The plug-in design renders these lights exceptionally simple to install. Typically, you must identify a power supply adequate for the length of your strip, and next consider the method of connecting it to the power source. The accompanying power cord enables immediate plug-and-play functionality with these strips. If a gap is required in your strips, jumpers are available to connect them. This is advantageous in situations requiring navigation around a narrow corner, as 6-inch jumpers are available for this purpose. The extended jumpers are designed for bridging greater gaps in your application, facilitating the transition to the subsequent length of lights. Extended jumpers are offered in lengths of 3, 6, and 10 feet.
Extended LED Strips!
The most captivating aspect of these strips is their extended run durations. Utilising 12V LED strips can be challenging for extended lengths due to the necessity of implementing parallel strips and wiring to mitigate voltage loss. This strip can extend up to 150 feet in a continuous length. That exceeds five times the output of low voltage LED flex strips.
