
A few cheap LED lights were all it took to prevent Sara from getting any slumber.

The slumber hormone melatonin doesn't get along with blue light. It can be difficult to fall asleep if you are subjected to it right before bed.
More than any other form of light, blue light, according to research, inhibits the creation of melatonin. In turn, inadequate melatonin production results in sleep disruption.

Researchers from the University of Toronto found that individuals who wore blue-light-blocking glasses had greater melatonin levels than those who did not.
Other research has shown that blue wavelengths suppress the delta brainwaves that cause slumber and boost the alpha brainwaves that encourage wakefulness.
High-quality LED lights are beneficial for slumber.
Only CRI80 and lower are available in the inexpensive LED light bulbs, like Sara used. Simply put, they emit blue light, which can prevent you from sleeping.
On the other hand, premium LED lights have a CRI of 90 or higher. They don't produce sleep-inducing blue light because of their high CRI.
To her credit, Sara took her friend's advise and changed the low-quality LED light bulbs in her house with high-quality ones.
