Researchers in the field of neuroscience have discovered a link between altered brain anatomy, poor memory, and poor lighting.

 

Researchers from Michigan State University's Department of Neuroscience have now discovered that low ambient light might really have an impact on someone's brain. claiming that poor illumination in public spaces, particularly offices, may be detrimental to people's memory and learning.

In summary, prolonged, continuous exposure to low light levels can result in large declines in brain-derived neurotrophic factor, a peptide that essentially maintains the health and activity of the neurons in the hippocampus.
