What is an outdoor LED wall washer light?
LED wall washer lights are an example of outdoor landscape lighting. As the name says, these lights provide a washing effect on the wall that resembles water, and they are widely used to illuminate and accentuate architectural details or walls in outdoor areas. It is well-known for its capacity to produce a wide and uniform beam of light. Typically used as ornamental or accent lighting. They are often referred to as outdoor LED strip lights because of their long, strip-like design.
The technical parameters of LED wall washers and LED floodlights are quite comparable. However, LED wall washers stand out owing to their linear form, which improves heat dissipation.

Detail Parameter
Projection distance ranges from 5 to 20 meters depending on the lens angle. A smaller angle results in a longer projection distance.
Lighting angle: 6-90° floodlight
Mirror surface: glass reflecting lens, light transmittance is 98-98%, not easily fogged, and can withstand UV radiation.
The lamp body is composed of solid aluminium, and there are many different designs available, including square and long linear wall washer lights, as well as arbitrary lengths of 300, 500, 600, 1000, 1200, or 1500mm. Width and height are set (one metre is a standard product).
IP Protection Level: IP65-IP67 (IP68 is the highest); the effect of a structural waterproof wall washer may reach I67, indicating good waterproof and long-term properties. Even if it is used for a long period, its waterproof performance will not be compromised.
LED wall washers are available in a variety of designs, including long, round and square, allowing for flexible placement on diverse building types. Control systems have expanded from master-slave connections to enable offline or built-in control, as well as wireless DMX control. The light effect channels have increased from three to four to twenty, allowing for customisable luminous effects for different colour shaping and producing distinctive visual impressions on massive structures.
Power supply may be separated into two types: DC and alternating current. Generally, the built-in power supply is externally linked to AC220V (Japan AC110V) mains, and the external one is typically low-voltage DC24V, DC12V, DC36V, and so on. The voltage is also varied depending on the needs.
Colour options include full-color, colourful, red, yellow, green, blue, purple, white, and more colours.
Wall washers are primarily being developed to be ultra-thin, since the shipping cost of ultra-thin outdoor wall washer lights is cheaper, and they are more convenient for high-altitude operations.
The Control Way
The built-in microprocessor controls the outdoor wall wash lights. In smaller-scale applications, it may function without a separate controller.Dynamic effects such as slow transitions, abrupt changes, colour pulsations, random variations, and progressive shifts may be achieved. Alternatively, it may be controlled via DMX to produce effects like as chasing and scanning.
High-powered LED wall washers have two control options: external and internal. Internal control removes the need for an external controller and allows for several built-in colour changing modes (up to six). External control, on the other hand, requires the use of an external controller to enable colour changes. Most apps on the market use external control.
Installation Guide
In general, there are distinctions between various kinds of led linear wall wash lighting. The high voltage input type (110VAC or 220VAC input) only connects the light fixture to 110V 220VAC. However, for low voltage DC12V 24V wall wash lights, you must arrange an auxiliary power source; the installation diagram is as follows:
