Phase 3: Quality Assurance Section One

Upon receipt at the manufacturing warehouse, the components undergo testing and verification to guarantee accuracy and compliance with the stringent quality checklist. This is a manifest yet crucial step.

Step 4: Dehydrate the LEDs

Upon acquiring the supplies, we can commence our manufacturing process in the LED drying room. The phosphor on the LED remains moist; therefore, we subject them to ovens at 158 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 hours to facilitate drying.

Step 5: Quality Control Phase Two

Once they are dried, re-evaluate the LEDs to ensure the photometric data and bin conform to the specified production standards. Light

data comprises correlated color temperature (CCT) and color rendering index (CRI). Upon completion of this stage, they are labeled, rolled, and prepared for placement onto the PCB.

Step 6: Fabricate and Employ Solder Molds

Aluminum molds are fabricated for each strip lamp design. They are templates (stencils, jigs, etc.) placed on the bare PCB to ensure the solder paste is evenly distributed.

Step 7: Apply Lead-free Solder Paste to the Base PCB

A 'PCB sheet' consists of twenty-four loosely connected strips of bare PCB, each measuring 0.5 meters in length. The mold is positioned beneath, and a lead-free solder paste adequately fills the mold's apertures, resulting in impeccable solder pads.

Step 8: Quality Control Phase 3

An additional quality control procedure ensures that each solder point contains the appropriate quantity of solder paste and is adequately prepared for component placement.

Step 9: Arrangement of Components on Solder Pads

The PBC sheet is subsequently positioned into a surface-mount technology (SMT) placement machine, commonly referred to as a pick-and-place (PnP) machine. This machine accurately positions and applies resistors and LEDs onto the solder spots with precision and appropriate pressure. This machine can perform 80,000 component placements each hour.
Significantly swifter than any hand in the west or east!

Step 10: Quality Control Section 4

The PCB, with all components affixed, is ejected from the machine for subsequent inspection by quality control. Any lost component is documented, and the sheet is revised until it successfully passes inspection.

Step 11: 'Bake' the strip in a reflow oven to secure all components.

The components remain unfastened to the PCB until the solder paste solidifies. The PCB sheets are conveyed on a belt into the reflow oven. The reflow oven is an elongated apparatus including various zones with separately regulated temperatures as the PCBs traverse through it. We have heard that it is possible to cook pizza in them, but we have yet to confirm this.

Step 12: Quality Control Phase 5

Upon exiting the oven, the solder paste on the PCB has solidified, bringing us mere steps away from designating them as LED strip lights. A further quality control assessment is essential to ensure uniform intensity across all LEDs. Rejected sheets are reprocessed or manually soldered until they meet perfection.
