The product is an LED flexible light strip with a rope-like shape. Don't just consider pricing while purchasing LED strips. Before you choose the most affordable flexible LED strip, we walk you through a thorough assessment of the following eight factors.
Flexible strip chips for LEDs
Chips come in both Taiwanese and local varieties, as well as foreign varieties (such as American, Japanese, German, etc.). There is a significant pricing variation between chips. At the moment, Taiwan produces the cheapest chips, while the United States produces the most costly, followed by Japan and Germany. Taiwan Epistar chips are now used to manufacture the flexible LED strips that are available on the market; they are reasonably priced and provide excellent performance. What chip is this, of course? What was the outcome? Recognise before you buy.
LED packages include silicone and resin packages. Since everything else is the same and the heat dissipation is a little poorer, the resin package is reasonably priced. Due to its superior heat dissipation capabilities, silicone encapsulation is somewhat more costly than resin encapsulation.
Consistency of LED colour
There are hundreds of home packaging manufacturers at the moment. Of course, there are advantages and disadvantages as well. It is challenging to ensure quality since many small packaging firms lack colour separation equipment, so they either do not separate the colours or do not send them out. The LED exhibits poor colour constancy and no colour separation. After being mounted on the LED flexible light bar, the lighting effect is not as excellent. Naturally, there is a significant price difference.
LED color
various hues and costs. Red, yellow, blue, and other colours are simpler to separate and have greater consistency, therefore they are somewhat less expensive than white and green, which are more difficult to match and separate. Due to colour matching, special colours like purple and brown are the priciest.
The impact of LED welding
Both machine and human welding are used to create the LED flexible lamp's whole component set.
1) Soldering by hand---Use the simplest soldering technique and a soldering iron. The product made using this method has an unattractive look (variable solder joint size, flux residue, uneven solder joints, burnt LED package, etc.), and the electrostatic protection features are subpar. The bright/bright Not bright phenomena is caused by the breakdown of several LED chips.
2) Machine soldering---machine soldering uses reflow soldering, which not only produces a nice appearance (the solder junction is smooth, uniform in size, the flux is still there, and the LED package is undamaged), but it also prevents static electricity from damaging the chip. In addition, the LEDs' orientation and placement are more attractive. This is immediately apparent from the look.
FPC content
FPC comes in two varieties: copper plated and rolled copper. Although copper plating is more costly, it is also less expensive. Rolling copper prevents copper-plated pads from slipping off when bent. The buyer's choice on the FPC material to be utilised is contingent upon the usage environment. Since Benwei LED now uses only rolled copper for its FPC, the resulting LED flexible light strips are also more bending-resistant. Is UL certification or FPC environmental certification? There are certified and patented LEDs, however they are more costly than non-patented ones. Does the LED have patents, etc.?
Brightness of LEDs
varying brightness LEDs have varying prices, and ordinary brightness and high-brightness LEDs are quite different. To properly find our items, you must thus know what sort of brightness you want before making a purchase.
LED dimensions
The cost of LEDs varies depending on their size and features. For example, there is a significant price difference between 0603 and 1210 (3528) LEDs, and the cost of 3528 and 5050 standards LEDs is an additional step.
Note: Electrostatic breakdown of LED flexible light strips: Because LEDs are semiconductors and therefore electrostatically sensitive, if static protection is not implemented during production, the LED chip will be broken down by static electricity, causing the LED flexible light strip to falsely die. This is a destructive phenomenon that cannot be recovered. The issue is that after a while, several of the LED chips abruptly stop lighting up, leaving noticeable black patches where the client can see them. Dead light, a prevalent phenomena in the business, is the source of this significant quality issue.
