Turn off the electricity to the pool at the main breaker panel before turning off the wiring transformer for the pool light. The transformer then has to have the electrical cabling for the pool's lighting system attached to it. The transformer's input terminals should be wired up to the lighting system for the pool. There will be two terminals with the labels "Input" and "Output." The cables from the output terminals should be attached to the lighting of the pool.
