Choosing the "color of light" that a lamp generates was never an option with traditional lights. However, LED light bulbs are unique. You have this option with several LEDs. The color that best suits your environment and mood is yours to choose.

Correlated color temperature, or CCT for short, describes how the color of the light looks in lighting.

The light will mimic blue light more closely as you move along the color spectrum. Interestingly, color temperatures refer to the color of light a lamp emits rather than the actual temperature of the bulb. Contrary to popular belief, a higher color temperature will make an LED look "cooler."

Warm or Cool?

Well, that depends entirely on your use and tastes. Do you favor the classic lamp's characteristic yellow color? If so, warm white (2700 to 3000K) can be the perfect choice for you. On the other hand, cool white LEDs (4000K+) are perhaps more to your taste if you're going for a more contemporary appearance.

It might be of interest to you to know that cold white light, which also seems brighter, contains more blue light. Because of this, cool white LED bulbs often provide more lumens than warm white LED bulbs of equal size. According to research, those who live in more sunny climates favor utilizing white light, while those who live in cooler climates prefer warm light.

How should I utilize which?

Here are some broad suggestions.

The living room, hallway, and bedroom are all warm to warm white.

White to Cool White - Kitchen, bathroom, and study

Daylight - Shops, art galleries, and commercial

Give yourself some time to get adjusted to the difference if you are switching from one kind to another, as from cold white to warm white.

Additionally, you may experiment with mixing several LED lights of various colors in the same area. For instance, you may place cool white bulbs above workstations to provide task lighting and warm white LEDs as room lighting.

How will I know which one to buy?

On the packaging of every retail package, the color temperature is stated explicitly. They also possess a distinct icon. The color temperature of each light is also noted on the base.
