1. The red light
(1) Chicks and young hens in the growth and development period may experience growth rate inhibition from red light, which may postpone their sexual maturity.
(2) The sexual function of roosters will be impacted by red light, which will lower the rate at which breeding eggs fertilise.

2. The yellow light
(1) Hens under yellow light will lay fewer eggs, which will lower the rate at which breeding hens fertilise their eggs.
(2) Just like blue light, yellow light can make hens peck.
3. The blue light
(1) Chickens' resistance to disease can be decreased by blue light, which can readily cause pecking in the birds.
(2) Adult hens may produce less eggs when exposed to blue light.

4. The Green light
Green light can impair the quality of the breeding eggs laid, shorten the peak egg-laying period, decrease the egg production rate of hens, and lower the survival rate of the hatched chicks. It can also hinder the egg-laying performance of hens.
