Furthermore, grow lights often emit certain wavelengths, especially in the red and blue spectrum, which are essential for the creation of chlorophyll and the blooming stage.

How long should grow lights be kept on?
The length of time that grow lights should be kept on depends on the kind of plant and its stage of growth. Plants typically need 12 to 16 hours of light each day to flourish, with the majority of indoor plants benefitting from 14 to 16 hours during the vegetative stage and around 12 hours during the blooming stage. However, certain low-light plants may only need six to eight hours of light every day. For plants to develop healthily and avoid stress, the proper light cycle is essential. A timer may also be used to maintain uniformity and automate the lighting schedule.
