What is the effect of temperature on LED light performance?
For example at 75°C the performance of a LED can be 5%-70% less than what we would expect from it (what is written in the datasheet). Besides lifetime and performance, temperature also influences the color of the white light (color temperature).
What is the ideal junction temperature for LED lights?
It is important to note that many of these graphs show light output as a function of junction temperature and not ambient temperature. An LED operating in an ambient environment at normal room temperature (between 20°C and 25°C) and at manufacturer-recommended currents can have much higher junction temperatures, such as 60°C to 80°C.
Characteristics of highbays used in special high temperature environments
• Top class thermal performance withstanding harsh temperature 65℃.
• Dust-free new housing gives out heat much faster and improves heat-disspation system.
• Air breather installed to balance temperature difference and prevent water condesation.
• IES standard 90/120 degrees tested in national listed lab, ensures light accuracy.
