The simple answer is that red is the superior light for night hunting now that you've read the scientific proof. On the other hand, we've found that most customers buy green light because they think of it as having night vision. Please do not conflate night vision and green light. We offer both colors of lights because we want to meet the demands of our clients. They do not compare. Infrared light is often used in lower-end night vision whereas heat is used in higher-end thermals. Both of these are unrelated to the concept of a green light. While both are more effective than red and green lights, they also call for more costly instruments to complete the task. Red light is harder for animals to notice than green light, which forms the most obvious shadow.
