Many factories employ light guide plates that are typically between 1.6 and 3.0 mm in size; the thicker the plate, the more expensive it is.
A diffuser with LEDs
The diffuser plate's job is to distribute the light from the light guide plate uniformly. It can also be used to blur the dots. The primary materials utilised include acrylic, PS (polystyrene plastic), PP (polypropylene plastic), PC (polycarbonate plastic), etc. PS and PP are more frequently utilised, and prices range from high to low.
Acrylic has a light transmittance of 92%, PC is 88%, and PS is roughly 80%. Although it is less aging-resistant, acrylic has greater light transmittance and is more reasonably priced. PC has superior anti-aging qualities but is more expensive in comparison. Manufacturers differ in the thickness of their diffuser plates; traditional options are more expensive and fall between 0.8 and 1.2 mm. Compared to side light-emitting panel lights, direct light-emitting panel lights require a higher diffuser intensity, which frequently necessitates a thicker design.
