How to Install a LED Downlight
Recessed or downlights have lately gained popularity, mostly due to their modern and fashionable appearance. Instead of being connected to the ceiling, these lights are made to look like they are a component of it. When attempting to brighten a room with especially low ceilings, downlights are ideal because they offer plenty of light without creating a barrier for those who are naturally higher. In a nutshell, down lights are decorative, practical, and concealed lights.

Prior to starting, consider these crucial measures!
At the primary fuse panel that controls the fixtures you intend to work on, turn off the energy.
1. To make positive that no electricity is passing through the wires there, use the voltage tester.
2. Activate the off setting on the wall button.
3. Verify that you adhere to applicable municipal laws.
4. Use only the lights whose power is appropriate for the fixture.
5. If you have any queries or worries, speak with a licensed electrician.
Accessible from the loft
1. Locate the area where you want to install each lamp. Use your stud detector to make sure there are no studs in these locations.
2. In the locations where you want them placed, lightly trace the paper pattern onto the ceiling with a pencil.
3. Drill a 1/4-inch hole through the middle of the circle you drew in the previous stage.
4. Make sure there is nothing obstructing the space, such as insulation, by checking the attic above the opening. The structure needs to have a cover put on top of it.
5. To create the opening for the down light casing, use a hole saw.
6. Ensure that you have enough space to work with as you feed the power source cord through the opening. (18 inches or so of wire).
7. Connect your first recessed light bulb to the power supply using the following wiring: hot to hot (black), neutral to neutral (white), and ground to ground (bare/green). Then connect the cables from that fixture to those going to the following fixture. Repeat this procedure for each attachment.
8. As instructed by the maker, install the chassis and trim components.

Turn on and check the LEDs
Do not forget to remove all wiring from the device!
Unable to reach the loft

2. In the locations where you want them placed, lightly trace the paper pattern onto the ceiling with a pencil.
3. Drill a 1/4-inch hole through the middle of the circle you drew in the previous stage.
4. To check for obstacles, insert a hanger or piece of fish tape into the opening. Insulation, for example, can make flames more likely.
5. To create the opening for the down light casing, use a hole saw.
6. Ensure that you have enough space to work with as you feed the power source cord through the opening. (18 inches or so of wire).
7. To send the wire to each light, make tiny holes in the ceiling joist and feed it through.
8. Connect your first recessed light bulb to the power supply using the same cable. After that, connect the same fixture to the cable going to the following fixture. Repeat this procedure for each attachment.
9. As instructed by the maker, install the chassis and trim components.
10. turn on and check the lamps.
Changing a current schedule
1. Remove the fixture you are removing from the power supply.
2. Trace the paper blueprint with the wiring opening in the middle on the ceiling using a pencil.

Beginning from nothing
You can attach cables to a fish tape reel and drag them through tight spaces to feed them through.
Do not forget to remove all wiring from the device!
1. Locate the area where you want to install each lamp. Use your stud detector to make sure there are no studs in these locations.
2. Trace the paper blueprint with the wiring opening in the middle on the ceiling using a pencil.
3. To create the opening for the down light casing, use a hole saw.
4. Check for obstacles like insulation, which can increase the danger of electrical fires. The structure needs to have a cover put on top of it.
5. To charge the button, locate a power source. (GFCI outlet or other source).
6. Connect the electricity line to the location where the switch will be.
Place your switch junction box there and pass the power source's cable into it.
7. Feed your cables through the ceiling from the switch to the openings where your recessed lighting bulb will be. You will need to drill openings in the ceiling joist and pass the wires through them if you don't have access to the loft.
8. Start joining like wires together: ground to ground (bare/green), hot to hot (black), and neutral to neutral. This procedure is made simple by Wago connections. The cable feeding your fixtures, the switch, and your power supply should all be spliced together at the switch.
9. Connect your first recessed light bulb to the power supply using the same cable. After that, connect the same fixture to the cable going to the following fixture. Repeat this procedure for each attachment.
10. As instructed by the maker, install the chassis and trim components.
11. Turn on and check the lamps.
