LED SCREENS – HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT ONE
There are a few things to keep in mind when choosing to work with LED in order to locate the ideal screen for your event. We'll go over the various elements that are taken into consideration when deciding on the best choice.
First, the fundamentals. Individual LED panels that are closely connected together are used to build LED screens and walls. These must be perfectly in sync with one another because even the slightest deviation can cause the complete screen to malfunction. Although there are different panel size choices, 1.6 feet by 1.6 feet is currently the most popular size. There are more variations in pixel spacing. Pixel pitch – what is it? Pixel pitch, which is expressed in millimeters, is the space between the centers of adjacent LED pixels.
The pixel pitch of an LED screen is indicated as "4mm." These days, 3-6mm and 14-20mm for outdoor events are the most frequently used sizes at business meetings and events.
WHY DOES PIXEL PITCH MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
You should think about how you'll use the screen, your preferred resolution, the content you want to display, and the venue when choosing LED panels to construct your screen. For instance, do you use accent pieces for logos and smaller graphics or your primary screen with high-resolution graphics? Will the gathering take place inside or outside?
You need a smaller pixel pitch, like 3-6mm, if you're using an LED panel as the focal point of your event with high-res graphics inside. Your graphics will look more vivid because the screen will have a superior overall appearance. Additionally, if you use an LED screen with a bigger pixel pitch, your audience will be more likely to notice the space between the pixels the closer they are to the stage. For delivering high resolution imagery, this is not the best option. However, you can typically use a larger pixel pitch LED, such as a 14–20mm, for outdoor activities. The eyes of the audience are often not as near to the screen, and this pure distance is very forgiving of the distance between pixels. A 10mm LED is a fantastic choice if you want to guarantee a higher definition appearance at your outdoor gathering.
SIZES OF LED SCREEN AND CONTENTS
Setting the size of your screen correctly depends on how you want the images to appear on the screen. For instance, a 3mm LED panel needs to be 18.9 feet long in order to be considered true HD. (1920 times 3mm equals 5760mm, then convert to feet). The panel would need to be 63 feet long and have a 10mm pixel pitch in order to be HD.

The size and resolution of your graphics should also be considered since they directly affect the size of your screen because LEDs are very particular about the pixels they show. For instance, if you want a 4k resolution (3840 2160, aspect ratio 16:9) for your LED screen, you should also make sure your graphics are made to those specs. You always want your content to be as near to the final, desired screen resolution as you can because scaling graphics up or down on LED can cause your images and videos to look pixelated. This also applies to how the displays are oriented. Build your images in the same format if your accent wall is a portrait LED display. Landscape graphics will need to be scaled down significantly in order to appear on a portrait screen.
